As part of Maintenance Works 1st Draft: Proportions, we convened an editorial group to translate one of the sources of inspiration for our current Maintenance Works program: Mierle Laderman Ukeles’ Manifesto for Maintenance Art 1969!. While translating from US English to Indonesian, we explored the question what is ‘maintenance art’ here (Yogyakarta, Indonesia) and now (2017)? The editorial group consists of Agnesia Linda, Alec Steadman, Arham Rahman, Brigitta Isabella, Hannah Ekin, Jorgen Doyle, Lisistrata Lusandiana, Sanne Oorthuizen, Syafiatudina, Timoteus Anggawan Kusno, and other friends who join irregularly.
