The Public Program is a series of public activities organised by Cemeti – Institute for Art and Society to create spaces for knowledge sharing, critical dialogue, and public engagement with contemporary artistic practices and the issues that surround them.

 

Through a range of formats—including public talks, artist talks, research presentations, workshops, reading groups, film screenings, performances, open studios, and other participatory activities—the programme brings together artists, researchers, curators, communities, and wider audiences to exchange ideas, experiences, and perspectives.

 

Each program is designed to encourage open dialogue and collective learning while inviting participants to engage actively in processes of thinking, questioning, and experimentation. Rather than functioning solely as a complement to exhibitions or residency programmes, the Public Program forms an essential part of Cemeti’s commitment to connecting artistic practice with broader social, cultural, and environmental contexts through sustained public engagement and knowledge exchange.
